This month is important to us
because it is the halfway point between when we started our fundraising and
speaking with churches and when we expect to move to Thailand.
Thankfully, we also have
reached half of our fundraising goal! You may remember from our first blog post
us sharing that we needed to raise $90,000. At the time, we were overwhelmed
with that number and it took a lot of faith to even think of it being possible. Now we have over $45,000 raised!
We have had so many
opportunities speaking and sharing about the ministry with people and churches
that we never met before joining TMM. God has laid out so many people and
connections for us and that has been very clear to us.
We pray before we give our
presentation that God speaks to people’s hearts about what is happening in
Thailand. There is no way we can accurately convey the horror of walking street
or the beauty in these new churches and new Christians. We feel so blessed when
we feel someone we speak with really gets it, because we know that just has to
be God speaking into their heart and giving them understanding.
It has been extremely
challenging for us to balance working our current jobs here in Alabama and
feeling completely devoted to TMM and taking every speaking opportunity we are
offered. This month has also been particularly challenging with the freezing
weather here in Alabama. We live in a tiny house and while visiting friends and
family for Christmas we had all of our pipes freeze as well as some leaks and
we now need to redo all of the insulation under the tiny house. It makes me
very happy to know that nothing ever freezes in Thailand so we won’t have this
exact problem again! Prayers for peace, patience, and balance are greatly
appreciated!
Thank you to everyone for
following our blog, all of your prayers, and your faithful donations. We can’t
slow down and we won’t slow down and we are very excited about some of our
upcoming opportunities!
